Ukraine Tribute

It’s a pleasure to present our tribute to the Ukrainian people with this Ukrainian War commemorative coin. The coin depicts a war scene after the shelling of Mariupol, where a veteran Ukrainian soldier helps two children, brother and sister, who have lost everything, to leave their home and take refuge elsewhere. The boy looks back sadly as he drags a flag of his country with one hand and firmly grasps the protective hand of the veteran, who holds his sister, too young to understand what is happening, over his shoulder.

Both sides of the coin, in ultra-high relief, depict exactly the same scene, changing the viewer’s side: on the reverse, the viewer is behind the scene, watching the three of them leave Mariupol, while on the obverse, the viewer is in front of them, watching them approach as they leave Mariupol. The scene on both sides of the coin is paired so that the reliefs match.
